Our
team of specialists incorporate “best practice” treatment
methodologies to meet the individual child and family’s needs, while
addressing such topics as: behavior modification, skill acquisition,
communication training, feeding, self help, inclusion, and cognitive
development/curricular modifications. Sessions may be scheduled
on-site during the school day, after school, or in the
home/community as available.
An FBA
may be conducted to identify causes and determine effective
treatment strategies for problematic behaviors, which are disruptive
to the child’s daily functioning. Our Doctoral level and Board
Certified Behavior Analysts combine observation, data collection,
and proven techniques to create a support plan to increase the
child’s success in the home, classroom, and community setting.
Proven
methods are combined with the latest research-based approaches to
teaching social skills in an individual or group setting. From basic
joint attention to conversational skills, social goals may be
addressed at any age and level of functioning.
This
group focuses on the unique dynamics of children who have a sibling
with special needs. In a fun, safe atmosphere, siblings are
empowered to express their emotions through play, peer support, and
multi-sensory activities. Parents are given information to
communicate with siblings and support their needs along the way.
Related
topics may be addressed with specific groups to enhance their
support of children with autism and related behavioral disorders.
On-going training, case review, and/or assistance in behavioral
techniques, modifications, and inclusion may be scheduled by
contacting the Director. |
